Join this eight-day vacation to discover the island of Mauritius. Prepare for a perfect beach holiday on this exotic island, home to incredible fauna and breathtaking scenery. Lie down on the white sand beaches or dive into the world-famous sapphire waters to discover the Indian Ocean's underwater riches. Mauritius is a fantastic culinary destination, with diverse combinations of tastes and flavours that will definitely pique your gastronomic interest. Capture these breathtaking views at Trou-Aux-Cerfs, a dormant volcanic crater, and Ganga Talao, a crater lake. Chamarel's refreshing cascade and eye-catching earth colours will leave you with plenty of memories to last a lifetime.

Day 1:

ARRIVAL MAURITIUS – GRAND BAIE (70 Km – 1.5 hr)

When you arrive at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, proceed to Desk No. 16, where a representative will greet you and direct you to your transfer. After checking in at the hotel, relax in your accommodation for the rest of the day. Grand Baie is where you'll spend the night.


Day 2:

GRAND BAIE – TROU-AUX-CERFS – GANGA TALAO – BLACK RIVER GORGES N. PARK – CHAMAREL – GRAND BAIE (147 km – 8hr)

Breakfast will be served at the hotel before departing for a full-day trip at around 08:00 a.m. Take the bus and after one hour and thirty minutes, the first stop will be at Trou-Aux-Cerfs, a dormant volcanic crater with a 360° panoramic view that is ideal for photography. Soon after, you'll visit Voiliers de l'Ocean, where you can see local artisans meticulously recreate real 18th-century sailing ships. A drive through the island's core jungle will bring you to 'Ganga Talao,' a sacred lake to Mauritian Hindus near Plaine Champagne.Further along the Black River Gorges National Park's winding route, you'll come to a local café with a breathtaking view of the beach, where you'll stop for lunch (included). Continuing past pineapple and sugar cane farms, you will reach Chamarel, where you will be captivated by its majestic waterfall and unusual 7-colored Earth, both of which are proof of geological phenomena. On the way back, the famed Le Morne Mountain and Ile aux Benitiers dominate the scenery. Arrive at the hotel around 5:00 p.m. to unwind and rest. Grand Baie is where you'll spend the night.


Day 3:

GRAND BAIE

Breakfast at the hotel will recharge your batteries in the morning. This day is free to relax by the pool or dive into Mauritius' incredible crystal-clear waters. The hotel provides free land and water recreational activities to make this trip unforgettable. If you want adventure, you can try banana riding, water skiing, or scuba diving (not included). You can also treat yourself to a variety of therapies provided by the hotel spa (not included). A journey across Grand Bay leads to Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, a home for 500 rare exotic plants including enormous water lilies, the Talipot Palm, which blooms once every 60 years, and other species. Enjoy a traditional meal (drinks not included) at l'Aventure du Sucre, which is located on an original Sugar Factory and examines the history of sugarcane on the island. The tour continues at the Blue Penny Museum, which houses the renowned 1847 Post Office stamps.The local Port-Louis market is a must-see for a colourful view of Mauritian life; the guide will show you how to get there and you will have some free time to browse. At approximately 05:30 p.m., you will be dropped off at the hotel. Full-day sailing tour with Simply Sailing You will be picked up from the hotel reception about 08:15 a.m. You will board the catamaran at Four à Chaux at approximately 09:30. You will travel down Mauritius' attractive east coast to see the charms of this picturesque area of the island, including its long-sheltered lagoon, blue and green tones of crystal-clear water, and breath-taking coastline beauty set against a mountain backdrop. You will have free time to swim and snorkel here. After lunch, the ship will make a stop at Île aux Cerfs. Relax and enjoy the sun and breeze on your face as you sail by sites that formed history in Mauritius, from the arrival point of the early Dutch immigrants to the naval battle that established the island's fate. Day 5:

GRAND BAIE

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before ready for another day of relaxation. Alternatively, you can plan an optional excursion (not included): Charms & Flavours, a full-day tour You will be picked up from the hotel reception at about 08:00 a.m. Les Aubineaux, a colonial home built in 1872, provides a flavor of Mauritian heritage. Drive through tea fields to the Bois Cheri Tea Factory to learn about the secrets of tea before heading to the chalet for a traditional tea break. Lunch is served in the Saint Aubin Plantation House, which dates from 1819 (drinks not included). Visit an anthurium greenhouse, where Mauritian vanilla grows among the colourful blossoms. The Domaine has its own rum distillery, so tasting rum and sugar is a must. Then it's off to the exotic La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes, home to Nile crocodiles, geckos, monkeys, enormous Aldabra tortoises, and an insectarium among lush tropical foliage.
