After breakfast, you'll proceed on a guided city tour, beginning with the Reunification Palace, the old Presidential Palace for the President of South Vietnam, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Old Post Office, to capture images of Vietnam's vast, contemporary metropolis.

Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will proceed to Chinatown for a walking tour through the back streets of Chinatown near Cho Lon to see local daily life. Stop by Thien Hau temple, which was established in the early nineteenth century and is devoted to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers. We go deeper into Chinatown, visiting the spectacular Cholon and Binh Tay Markets to see where the people shop. Then you'll return to the hotel at 17:00. Ho Chi Minh City is where you'll spend the night.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Saigon and take you to the pier in Can Tho in the morning. Around lunchtime, you board your wooden river cruise boat. We show you our on-board facilities and your snug cabin after a delightful welcome drink. The boat begins cruising as soon as lunch is served. Sit back and enjoy the spectacular scenery and daily lives of the Mekong people.

You can disembark in the afternoon for a leisurely stroll through the village and neighbouring fruit orchards or rice fields. Meet the welcoming folks and sample the fresh food and fruits. Return to the ship and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on deck as the sun sets over the beautiful waterscape. The boat will spend the night at anchor. Wake up to the sound of the river and prepare for another fantastic day of touring. The boat departs for a morning trip at 6.30 a.m. While enjoying an early breakfast, observe the people at work drying exotic fruits and building ships on the wooden yards. We'll board a sampan boat to Cai Be floating market after breakfast. Later in the morning, you can take a short rowing sampan around the beautiful lake environment to witness local cottages, luscious orchards, and ship-building yards. Alternatively, you can explore the surrounding town on foot or by bicycle through the small side canals. As lunch is served, the ship resumes its journey. There will be another side trip in the afternoon to one of the fascinating communities or beautiful plantations along the way. You can spend another quiet evening and night on your river boat while moored near Tra On Island.Overnight stay on board.

We will visit the famous Cai Rang floating market after morning tea and an early start through the wonderful morning environment on the river. Be amazed at the sheer abundance of exotic fruits and vegetables, as well as expertly handcrafted regional handicrafts. We'll approach the boats to discuss and bargain with the merchants.

You will return to the boat for a delectable lunch before being transferred to Can Tho airport for your afternoon trip to Phu Quoc. When you arrive, you will be taken to your hotel/resort. Spend the night at Phu Quoc.
